A Triangle movie theater is closing as a national theater chain continues the bankruptcy process. The Regal Beaver Creek Stadium 12 theater in Apex will shutdown. It's one of 39 Regal Cinemas locations set to close – the Apex location is the only North Carolina theater in the group – according to a new bankruptcy filing. The Apex theater is located in the Beaver Creek Crossing retail center along Highway 64 between highways 55 and 540. Regal's parent, U.K.-based Cineworld Group, filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy in September, a result of the devastating impact the pandemic had on the film industry.
