Police are continuing to investigate the homicide of a Butler native, who had been stabbed Aug. 29 in Atlantic Beach, N.C., in a 'random and senseless act of violence.' 'We have received numerous tips and are in the process of following up on all of them,' police said in a statement via the Atlantic Beach Facebook page. Local media outlets said the killing of Randall Miller, 65, of Apex, N.C., happened around 5:45 a.m. at 300 W. Atlantic Boulevard. The Atlantic Beach Police Department is working with the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation to investigate.
