A German grocery brand will open its seventh Triangle location and first store in Southeast Wake County this summer. Lidl will open its Garner location on June 14. The new store is located in the Garner Towne Square shopping center in a former Kroger (NYSE: KR) space. Located at 2694 Timber Drive, the store measures about 31,000 square feet. The location was first announced in August 2021. Lidl has invested more than $6 million in the new store, according to a company press release. The location will create more than 30 jobs with starting pay for store associates at $16 per hour.
